This week has seen the 38th Union day of the United Arab Emirates - دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة - and there has been a certain festive mood in the air. For the holiday break, I was up in Dibba in the northern Emirate of Fujairah - where the mountains meet the sea and look over onto the Gulf of Oman. Fujairah is beautiful - I will return to this in a later posting InshAllah.I include a couple of select photos sharing my view of the historic Fujairah Fort, some mountains in Dibba and the celebtrations marking UAE National Day.
